Delete your account

You can delete your Boatze account at any time, from the app or by email.

In the app

• Open Boatze and tap the settings button on the map.
• Scroll to Account.
• Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion happens right away and can't be undone.

By email

If you no longer have the app, email us from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account." We'll confirm and delete it within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account: email address and password
• Your profile: display name and vessel type
• Your confirmations and dismissals of reports
• Fuel prices you posted
• Your activity map and learned-speed records
• Your friends, friend requests and live location
• Routes you shared
• Your marketing email preference

What stays, without your name

• Reports you posted stay on the map until they expire (1 hour to 30 days), no longer linked to you. Expired report records are deleted within 12 months.
• Spots you shared, and their photos, stay for other boaters, no longer linked to you. To remove them, delete your spots in the app before deleting your account, or email us.
• Planned routes in the shared route cache, which were never linked to your account.
• A record of the agreements you accepted (which versions and when), kept for up to 7 years as proof of acceptance.
